The Legend Of Arthur King has a foreward by Dean's old chums Ant and Dec. Have a look what the Geordie boys had to say:

Dean's a very funny man, but watches far too much Star Trek for his own good.
I remember he, myself and Dec got into a lift once at ITV and instead of pressing the button he said
"bridge". He got quite upset that neither of us got the joke and ranted at us in Klingon until we forced a giggle.
Arthur King is his best comic creation to date and I know the books will be bigger than the Harry Potter books, by at least a quarter of an inch.
What would Dean be doing if he hadn't have become a successful comedy writer
He'd probably have turned to petty crime and been damn good at that too.
Ant

Dean who?
Oh him.
In our SMTV days he used to get very irate during Chums rehearsals saying Cat and I were doing intimate embracing scenes all wrong.
He'd always thrown down the script and show us how to do it himself. Never with Cat though, just with me.
The Legend Of Arthur King is a superb book with laugh out loud comedy from start to end. He's certainly come a long way from the days he wrote our scripts in crayon on the backs of old betting slips.
What would Dean be doing if he hadn't become a successful comedy writer? He'd probably be wandering the length and breadth of Britain with a pet monkey solving supernatural mysteries in exchange for food and accommodation.
